The organizers of the 20th Annual Midwest Clinical Legal Education Conference, which will be held at Notre Dame Law School on October 13-15, 2006, are pleased to invite you to a clinical writers and new clinic workshop that will kick off the conference.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for clinical teachers, especially those in the Midwest, to meet with other clinicians writing on related topics to discuss their works-in-progress and brainstorm ideas for further development of their articles. It is also an
opportunity for clinicians developing new clinics, or substantially revising an existing clinic, to meet with colleagues to discuss the design and development of their clinics. /We especially encourage clinicians who are working on an early draft of an article to participate/.

The workshop will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Notre Dame Law School, South Bend, Indiana, from 1 - 4 p.m. The other events of the Midwest conference will begin immediately after the workshop and continue through Sunday morning the 15th.

Workshop participants should be prepared to submit an article draft or clinic plan and read their colleagues' work prior to attending the conference. We anticipate that each participant will be in a small group of approximately four clinicians working on similar topics with an experienced clinician to facilitate discussion and generate additional ideas. Participation is included in the registration fee for the Midwest Clinical Legal Education Conference. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Clinicians who want to participate in the workshop must submit their registration and a one-paragraph summary of their work-in-progress by *September 1, 2006*. The conference registration form will be available online in August through the Notre Dame Law School web page.

If you have any questions, or want more information about the workshop, contact: Kim Thomas (kithomas@umich.edu) or David Moss (david.moss@wayne.edu).

Stay tuned for more details about the workshop and the conference. We look forward to seeing you in October.
