Gonzaga University School of Law - New Clinic in the Area of LGBTQ+ Rights

28 Dec 2019 9:35 PM | Mike Murphy (Administrator)

GONZAGA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW, Spokane, WA, seeks to hire a lateral tenure-track or tenured faculty member for a new clinic in the area of LGBTQ+ rights, to begin Fall 2020.  Though we are open to all lateral candidates, the ideal applicant will have at least three years of full-time clinical teaching experience in an ABA-accredited law school. The successful applicant will play a major role in determining the clinic’s specific emphasis and operation, though we are particularly interested in candidates committed to broader policy work, including appellate and amicus work.

We seek candidates who are productive and creative scholars, exemplary teachers, and committed and engaged institutional citizens.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record in collaborative leadership with multiple stakeholders, and be willing to play a critical role in developing and maintaining an innovative, robust program of experiential education. All candidates must be licensed or immediately license-eligible to practice law in the State of Washington.

We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the diversity of Gonzaga Law and the profession.  We encourage applications from the LGBTQ+ community, persons of color, women, persons with disabilities, and other historically underrepresented groups.
