Ave Maria School of Law-Director of Veterans and Servicemembers Law Clinic/director of clinics

Ave Maria School of Law seeks applicants for the position of Director of the Veterans and Servicemembers Law Clinic (VSLC) to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. The VSLC is a legal clinic that represents clients in legal aid cases, First Amendment litigation, military discharge upgrades, and VA benefits claims. Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree and a strong academic record, as well as knowledge of veterans law and excellent interpersonal skills. Clinical experience and admission to the Florida bar are particularly desirable. The Director will be expected to work with the Director of Development at the Law School to attract support from organizations that provide financial support to organizations serving veterans and provide students with a quality clinical experience serving veterans in the local community, the state, and nationally. Additional duties will include teaching and service to the law school community. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Director position is a tenure-track position or a non-tenure-track position with the opportunity for long-term renewable contracts, as negotiated. Qualified candidates will also be considered to fill the Director of Clinics role at the Law School, if interested, as negotiated.
