Western New England University School of Law-The Center for Social Justice (CSJ) -Staff Attorney

The Center for Social Justice (CSJ) at Western New England University School of Law is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its team. The CSJ provides free legal representation to low-income community members through its diverse legal programs and pro bono initiatives, such as the Consumer Debt Initiative (CDI) and a criminal records sealing and expungement program. As the hub for justice-oriented experiential learning at WNEU School of Law, the CSJ also trains, supervises, and mentors law student interns, externs, and pro bono volunteers, who provide crucial support in the assistance of clients and the development of projects. Additionally, the CSJ seeks to address the root causes of system injustice through innovative, human-centered, and community-driven advocacy and research. The Staff Attorney will work closely with the CSJ Director and will litigate cases, train, supervise, and mentor law students, and ensure the CSJ is responsive to community needs. This position represents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, community-based, public interest law office based at a law school, and to engage on critical issues in a wide range of practice areas.
