VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL is hiring a clinical professor of law to direct an Innocence Clinic. 

Vanderbilt University Law School seeks applicants for a full-time clinical faculty position to direct an Innocence Clinic at the law school, beginning July 2024. Applications should have substantial experience in relevant litigation and should possess strong academic and professional qualifications. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a live- client clinical course as well as a non-clinical course and to engage in writing as well as community and professional service. Clinical faculty members are on career tracks, leading to presumptively renewable five-year contracts. This position is open to applicants with different levels of clinical teaching experience (Assistant, Associate, or Full Clinical Professor of Law). The final candidate for this position must successfully complete a background check.

Qualifications

  • Excellent practice experience and academic credentials
  • Ability to engage in litigation, teaching, research, and writing
  • Educational requirement: J.D. degree
