OHIO NORTHERN UNIVERSITY in Ada, Ohio, seeks applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the Claude W. Pettit College of Law. A successful candidate will build on the College’s strengths, while navigating the challenges currently facing law schools, so that the College is well-positioned for the future. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor, or equivalent degree, and a history of scholarly productivity and/or relevant professional experience that would allow for tenure within the Pettit College of Law at the rank of Professor. Desired qualifications include: demonstrated administrative ability, experience in budgeting, fiscal management, assessment, and management of law admissions with a strong connection to legal practice and bar organizations. Personal scholarly activity with demonstrated support for faculty scholarship and engagement as well as experience in higher education development, alumni relations, and legal education are equally important.
